An Otoscan™ is a unique otoscopic
procedure developed after years of technological
research. This service may be performed by specialist
certified in mid-canal fittings. Take advantage of today’s
advanced procedures and request and Otoscam™ with
every hearing test. An ordinary hearing test may not
detect many conductive components which could
obstruct or impair your hearing.
Specialized Video Otoscopic Equipment is needed to
Perform an Otoscan™.
The video otoscope makes it possible to view and
photograph your outer ear, eardrum and ear canal.
The video otoscope emits light through a fiberoptic
cable which is attached to a hand-held camera.
Images of your ear and ear canal are displayed on a
full-color monitor. These images can be output on a
special color printer and you can have them sent to
your medical professional for further evaluation.
Perhaps your hearing has been impaired by wax
build-up. See for yourself!
Your hearing may be impaired by a foreign object
or a conductive component. You might have a
perforated eardrum. Knowledge of conditions like
these, when they exist, will allow your hearing healthcare
